Lynn is the founder of Eldercare Specialists and works as the President of the company. Prior to starting Eldercare she worked as a nurse at UCSF and in the corporate world. She counsels and supports families on how to manage the transitions they face when there are health, memory or psychiatric changes.
Lynn’s professional passion is to ensure that her client’s have the best quality of life, maintain their independence, and dignity. Her practice focuses on the big picture including health, financial, psychological and social needs of her clients. Her practice is recognized by local physicians and professionals.
In the past two years, her practice has expanded to providing education and training programs on end of life planning, managing dementia issues, and how to effectively work with older adults and families during times of transition. Lynn is certified by the Board of Registered Nurses and Department of Public Health to provide continuing education to nurses and caregivers.
For two decades prior to becoming a nurse, Lynn worked in the corporate world. She managed organizations with over (300) employees. She was a director of training and executive development, strategic planning, operations and marketing. During her corporate career she designed and executed strategic planning processes for diverse organizations, and spearheaded a corporate wide customer service quality improvement program.
Lynn lives with her husband and son in Marin County. She was born and raised in San Francisco and has lived in Marin for the past 20 years. Lynn has been an active community leader. She has served on numerous boards including, Full Circle Programs for Children, Team Survivor, and Marin Association of Retarded Children (MARC). She facilitated the San Rafael Leadership Institute and graduated from the California Leadership Program, Napa Leadership Program and San Rafael Leader Institute. More recently, Lynn and her team work closely with the Northern California Alzheimer’s Association. She volunteers locally at Neil Cummins Elementary School in the classroom.
Educated originally in business, she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration in 1982, from California State University in Sacramento, and later graduated from Stanford Graduate School’s Executive Management Program. Lynn left the corporate world to pursue her passion in nursing and attended Mills College Post Baccalaureate Pre-Med program and graduated from UCSF Graduate School’s, MEPN program to become a registered nurse and a public health nurse.
Lynn is a Certified Case Manager, has her certificate in Professional Patient Advocacy. She is certified by the Board of Registered Nurses, in California to provide credited training to Registered Nurses and the Department of Public health to provide credited training the Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides.
